The name Celimene means 'Heavenly Strength'. It may be derived from Latin and Greek elements meaning 'Heavenly', 'Moon' or 'Strength'. Célimène is a literary name invented by the 17th century French playwright, actor and poet, Molière in his play Le Misanthrope.

I always try to photograph my yarns true to the colors. But keep in mind that each monitor displays colors differently.

The lead time for dyed to order skeins is 1 - 4 weeks, depending on base availability and dyeing capacity. If the selected base is available, your order will be shipped within 2 working days. You will be notified upon shipping.

For information regarding fibre content, please see Base Information.

As my yarns are dyed to order, by hand, in small batches, each skein will be slightly different, it's what makes hand dyed yarns so lovely. Variations between, as well as within dye lots are possible. However, skeins that vary too much from my standards will be sold as "oopsies".

I recommend hand washing in cool / warm water with a suitable wool detergent and drying flat.

Should any color be released if washed as recommended, no worries! It will only be a small amount of residual dye being released and will not change the color of the yarn itself.

*Some solid colorways are sometimes very saturated. This is why it is most important to hand-wash colors separately using a gentle wool-wash. I do my best to remove any excessive dye from the fiber, but bleeding may occur.

All yarns are dyed using professional acid dyes, heat set and then washed. If you have an allergy or sensitivity to scents, please note that I use a scented wool wash for my yarns.
